Well the topic pretty much says it all. I have been playing X-plane for over 4 years now and I can clearly say that it is a thousand time much easier than FSX/FS9. The graphics of the game have also increased alot and everyday I see more and more people leaving fsx and joining x-plane especially after microsoft shut down aces studios. Airplanes are very easy to make in a software called 'plane maker' that comes with X-Plane and if you want to make the plane look even better you can model it in blender/AC3D/3dstudio max or lightwave 3d. The best part is the scenery which is very high detailed and the sim can load photorealistic scenery as you fly by using a plugin.You can get very high frame rates with X-Plane compared to fsx.
